feta + Dill turkey burgers
Hello Foodie Friends,
Hope you are enjoying summer so far. I can believe we are about to start July and we are getting ready for 4th of July family grilling and pool fun.

Summer is in full swing and most of my dinners I try to cook on the grill or stove top grill pan.

My fave are carne asada, grilled chicken and our new favorite " Feta dill turkey burgers". This recipe will guarantee a moist not overdone burger and perfect with a refreshing and tangy tzatziki sauce and fresh sliced tomatoes and cucumbers. All the mediterranean flavors with each bite.

The key is to add the feta, dill and diced onions to keep bring moisture to the turkey meat while it is cooking.

Ingredients:
2 lbs | Organic ground turkey | |
1/2 cup | of crumbled feta cheese | |
1 Tbsp | Zaatar | |
1 Tbsp | oregano | |
1 Tsp | salt | |
1 Tsp | pepper | |
2 Tbsp | Fresh chopped dill | |
2 | garlic cloves (grated) | |
1/4 cup | diced onion (red or white) | |
2 Tbsp | Extra Virgin Olive oil | |
10 | hamburger buns | |
2 | large tomatoes- sliced | |
2-3 | Persian cucumbers - sliced | |
1 | Cup Tzatziki sauce | |
2 cups | arugula | |
I

In a large bowl add the ground turkey, feta, dill, garlic, onions and seasonings. Mix all together and form burger patties.
In a hot grill or grill cast iron pan spray some olive oil or avocado oil. Then cook each burger for about 5 minutes each side or until cooked through.
In the meantime, in a pan or toasted add the hamburger buns and add butter and toast for 3 minutes.
Once the burgers are ready, take the buns add a spoonful of Tzatziki, add the arugula, tomatoes and sliced cucumbers. Ready to enjoy!
